The all-in-one stop for all things constraints. This recorded course will dive into understanding the purpose, construction, manipulation, application, and destruction of using constraints in the RBD context. Topics will cover both traditional and custom ways to create constraints to fit the needs of the scene, including building constraints from scratch to achieve full control to art direct behaviors in your simulations.

Arab MENA Countries Vulnerabilities and Constraints Against Democracy on the Eve of the Global COVID–19 Crisis

English | 2020 | pages: 281 | ISBN: 9811570469, 9811570493 | PDF | 22,3 mb
This book offers readers critical insights into a region in crisis and explores different facets of the crisis from governance to gender to the politics of identity, the challenge of the environment and the enduring impact of demographic variables and technological change. Whilst exploring the nature of the crises, the book also explores how policy-makers have responded to these and what other alternatives there are in overcoming challenges posed. Whilst the focus is on the Middle East North Africa region as a whole, the authors are well aware of the unique characteristics of individual countries. Hence the book examines regional trends whilst also being conscious of the national specificities of each country. In combining the general with the particular, the book approaches its subject matter from both a quantitative and a qualitative perspective allowing one to understand regional trends and country specific peculiarities.

Decision Making Under Uncertainty and Constraints A Why–Book
Free Download Decision Making Under Uncertainty and Constraints: A Why-Book (Studies in Systems, Decision and Control) by Martine Ceberio, Vladik Kreinovich
English | January 4, 2023 | ISBN: 3031164148 | 314 pages | MOBI | 19 Mb
This book shows, on numerous examples, how to make decisions in realistic situations when we have both uncertainty and constraints. In most these situations, the book's emphasis is on the why-question, i.e., on a theoretical explanation for empirical formulas and techniques. Such explanations are important: they help understand why these techniques work well in some cases and not so well in others, and thus, help practitioners decide whether a technique is appropriate for a given situation.

Land Reform in Zimbabwe Constraints and Prospects

English | 2019 | ISBN: 1138741841, 1138741876 | EPUB | pages: 220 | 1.4 mb
This title was first published in 2000. Drs Tanya Bowyer-Bower and Colin Stoneman compile the views of top researchers, members of Government, civil society, NGOs, funders, and Zimbabwe's three farmers' unions. The history of land reform in Zimbabwe is addressed and the current proposed reform policies, comparison between programmes elsewhere in Southern Africa, and implications including for rural and urban welfare, the economy, the environment, the law, and for women. The result is an invaluable overview of this crucial and contentious issue, including constructive suggestions for consensual ways forward.

Switchable Constraints for Robust Simultaneous Localization and Mapping and Satellite-Based Localization

Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) has been a long-standing research problem in robotics. It describes the problem of a robot mapping an unknown environment, while simultaneously localizing in it with the help of the incomplete map. This book describes a technique called Switchable Constraints.Switchable Constraints help to increase the robustness of SLAM against data association errors and in particular against false positive loop closure detections. Such false positive loop closure detections can occur when the robot erroneously assumes it re-observed a landmark it has already mapped or when the appearance of the observed surroundings is very similar to the appearance of other places in the map. Ambiguous observations and appearances are very common in human-made environments such as office floors or suburban streets, making robustness against spurious observations a key challenge in SLAM. The book summarizes the foundations of factor graph-based SLAM techniques. It explains the problem of data association errors before introducing the novel idea of Switchable Constraints. We present a mathematical derivation and probabilistic interpretation of Switchable Constraints along with evaluations on different datasets. The book shows that Switchable Constraints are applicable beyond SLAM problems and demonstrates the efficacy of this technique to improve the quality of satellite-based localization in urban environments, where multipath and non-line-of-sight situations are common error sources.

Integrity Constraints on Rich Data Types
Free Download Integrity Constraints on Rich Data Types
English | 2023 | ISBN: 3031271769 | 238 Pages | PDF EPUB (True) | 12 MB
This book examines the recent trend of extending data dependencies to adapt to rich data types in order to address variety and veracity issues in big data. Readers will be guided through the full range of rich data types where data dependencies have been successfully applied, including categorical data with equality relationships, heterogeneous data with similarity relationships, numerical data with order relationships, sequential data with timestamps, and graph data with complicated structures. The text will also discuss interesting constraints on ordering or similarity relationships contained in novel classes of data dependencies in addition to those in equality relationships, e.g., considered in functional dependencies (FDs). In addition to exploring the concepts of these data dependency notations, the book investigates the extension relationships between data dependencies, such as conditional functional dependencies (CFDs) that extend conventional functional dependencies (FDs). This forms in the book a family tree of extensions, mostly rooted in FDs, that help illuminate the expressive power of various data dependencies. Moreover, the book points to work on the discovery of dependencies from data, since data dependencies are often unlikely to be manually specified in a traditional way, given the huge volume and high variety in big data. It further outlines the applications of the extended data dependencies, in particular in data quality practice. Altogether, this book provides a comprehensive guide for readers to select proper data dependencies for their applications that have sufficient expressive power and reasonable discovery cost. Finally, the book concludes with several directions of future studies on emerging data.
