This class is for anyone who is interested in drawing! You don't have to have any background in art to do this class. Each step-by-step video will help guide you along the way. After we will do shading and lighting. We will then explore perspective! We will also apply what was learned in our own drawing project. Feel free to download the included workbooks and assets needed for the class.SECTION 1 IntroductionIn this section, you will get familiar with the tools you are going to use for the course. You will also get some more detail and information about your tools like the pencil and sharpener. It is important to know how to use your pencil so we will also be covering this crucial element.SECTION 2 Elements of ArtIn this section, we are going to cover the elements of art. The art elements act as the building blocks for any form of artwork. They work together to help bring out one main composition. The elements are:LineShapeFormSpaceTextureValueColorSomeone will not be able to create without using a few or all these elements.SECTION 3 Shading In drawing, lighting is very important to make your art appear more realistic. To achieve this we have to rely on shading. Shading adds value and this helps create the illusion of form. Shading makes your drawing pop out and makes it appear three-dimensional.There are various shading techniques:HatchingCross-hatchingBlendingStipplingFor this course, we will be using the blending technique. We will cover the value scale which helps a budding artist's work come alive by giving the illusion of depth to his or her work. We will then explore the shading of solid shapes.SECTION III Perspective Shading helps make your drawing look three-dimensional but adding perspective will make it look more visually appealing and realistic. If you don't want your work to look flat, just use perspective. Perspective helps you add some form of distance in your artwork. It brings out the illusion of depth. In perspective there isThe Viewpoint- This is the position where the viewer is looking at the sceneThe Horizon – This is an imaginary horizontal line that corresponds with the level of the viewers' eyes. The Diminishing or Vanishing Lines – These are lines drawn from corners and edges of the drawn objects to meet the vanishing point. The Vanishing Point - Also known as the point of convergence on the horizon, this is where the diminishing lines meet.Perspective helps us to understand the point in art that we should DRAW WHAT WE SEE, NOT WHAT WE KNOW.So sign up now!!!
